Our MD General Medicine consultant specializes in the comprehensive management of cardiovascular diseases, including but not limited to:

  • Coronary artery disease (CAD)
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats)
  • Heart failure
  • Valvular heart disease
  • Peripheral artery disease (PAD)

Diagnostic Evaluation:

  • Thorough history-taking and physical examination to assess cardiovascular risk factors and symptoms.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG), echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and cardiac catheterization when necessary.

Treatment Plans:

  • Individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, medical history, and risk factors.
  • Prescription and management of medications to control blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and other cardiovascular risk factors.
  • Guidance on lifestyle modifications including diet, exercise, smoking cessation, and stress management to promote heart health and prevent disease progression.

Follow-up Care:

  • Ongoing monitoring and adjustment of treatment plans as needed to optimize cardiovascular health and prevent complications.
  • Regular follow-up appointments to assess response to treatment, address any concerns, and provide education and support for self-care.

Collaborative Approach:

  • Collaboration with other healthcare providers including cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, dietitians, and exercise physiologists to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
