- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG), echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, and cardiac catheterization when necessary.
Treatment Plans:
- Individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, medical history, and risk factors.
- Prescription and management of medications to control blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and other cardiovascular risk factors.
- Guidance on lifestyle modifications including diet, exercise, smoking cessation, and stress management to promote heart health and prevent disease progression.
Follow-up Care:
- Ongoing monitoring and adjustment of treatment plans as needed to optimize cardiovascular health and prevent complications.
- Regular follow-up appointments to assess response to treatment, address any concerns, and provide education and support for self-care.
Collaborative Approach:
- Collaboration with other healthcare providers including cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, dietitians, and exercise physiologists to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Referral to specialized services or procedures when appropriate, such as cardiac rehabilitation, cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, or coronary artery bypass grafting.
